Great song from The Rolling Stones, it’s the
sixth track from Rolling Stones’ 1978 album Some Girls, ENJOY
Here are the lyrics:
I was driving home early sunday morning through bakersfield
Listening to gospel music on the colored radio station
And the preacher said, you know you always have the
Lord by your side
And I was so pleased to be informed of this that I ran
Twenty red lights in his honor
Thank you jesus, thank you lord
I had an arrangement to meet a girl, and I was kind of late
And I thought by the time I got there shed be off
Shed be off with the nearest truck driver she could find
Much to my surprise, there she was sittin in the corner
A little bleary, worse for wear and tear
Was a girl with far away eyes
So if youre down on your luck
And you cant harmonize
Find a girl with far away
And if youre downright disgusted
And life aint worth a dime
Get a girl with far away eyes
Well the preacher kept right on saying that all I had to do was send
Ten dollars to the church of the sacred bleeding heart of jesus
Located somewhere in los angeles, california
And next week theyd say my prayer on the radio
And all my dreams would come true
So I did, the next week, I got a prayer with a girl
Well, you know what kind of eyes she got
So if youre down on your luck
I know you all sympathize
Find a girl with far away eyes
And if youre downright disgusted
And life aint worth a dime
Get a girl with far away eyes

Manson made a cameo appearance as a doctor in the Murderdolls’ music video “Dead in Hollywood”, and also appears in the Nine Inch Nails music video “Starfuckers, Inc.”, as well as “Gave Up”
His first appearance in a film was in the role of a pornographic actor in David Lynch’s Lost Highway, in 1997. He also had a minor role in former love interest Rose McGowan’s 1998 film Jawbreaker and a supporting role in 2003′s Party Monster. Manson made a cameo appearance in a short film in the BMW Films series (starring Clive Owen as the Driver), which featured James Brown as himself, and Gary Oldman as Satan. His most talked-about film cameo was in the Michael Moore political documentary Bowling for Columbine discussing the motivations of the perpetrators and allegations that his music was somehow a factor. He played himself, in animated form, on an episode of the television series Clone High, in which he sang a song about nutrition and the food pyramid. Manson portrayed a psychotic drag queen named Christina in the movie Party Monster which is based on the events leading up to and the murder of Angel Melendez by the infamous Michael Alig of club kid fame. He is featured prominently throughout Not Another Teen Movie, and covered the song Tainted Love for that movie.
His music is frequently featured on the show C.S.I.. The character on the show, Greg Sanders, is a big fan of Manson and the actor who plays him, Eric Szmanda is personal friends with Manson.
Manson was featured in the 2004 film The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things, and is set to appear in Abelcain, directed by Alejandro Jodorowsky, and Living Neon Dreams in 2005. He will also be seen as a bartender in an upcoming vampire movie starring Lucy Liu called Rise.
In July 2005, Manson told Rolling Stone Magazine that he was shifting his focus from music to filmmaking – “I just don’t think the world is worth putting music into right now. I no longer want to make art that other people–particularly record companies–are turning into a product. I just want to make art.” He is currently working on his directorial debut, Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll, which was put on his website around the end of 2006. The film is said to feature special effects using a magician rather than computer-generated imagery.[10]
In art
Manson is also a watercolor painter. An exhibit for his art was held at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions on September 13, September 14, 2002 and also at the Hotel Lutecia, Paris on September 14, 2004 and the next day in Berlin. He contributed a piece to the West Memphis Three benefit exhibition at six spaces. Many of his paintings have sold for over $5,000; buyers include Jack Osbourne, Nicolas Cage, Dave Navarro, Andy Dick and Lisa Marie Presley. He has stated that a new book containing all his pieces of art work will be released in the near future, possibly 2006.[citation needed]
Manson opened his own gallery October 31, 2006 in Los Angeles. The gallery, The Celebritarian Corp. Gallery of Fine Art, opened with a showing of Manson’s watercolors. [11]
In other areas
Manson provided the voice of the alien Edgar in the 2005 first-person shooter videpurpose of autofellatio. “If I really got my ribs removed,” he said in his autobiography[25], “I would have been busy

This is a clip from the legendary Shea Stadium Concert that broke The Beatles ticket sales record. A record that still stands today (38 years later) & will forever stand. I’m proud to say this video is in the permanent archives of Shea Stadium & The N.Y. Mets. Yes, this is the real deal, the Grand Funk Railroad “Power Trio” we all love at the peak of their great career. Grand Funk Railroad is America’s Band. This is a historic concert that folks still rave about. If you were there, feel lucky, because you were a part of history. This is considered by many to be one of the greatest concerts in the short history of “Hard Rock/Metal”. Grand Funk Railroad was truly a “Performance Vehicle.” It is amazing that this record has stood this long, a testament to how great & influincial this band was in the early 1970′s. Check out the link below to see what Mark Farner has to say today about this historic performance. Grand Funk Railroad ruled the world from ’69-’76 becoming the first band to earn 10 consecutive platinum albums! Some call it “Industrial Rock”. You’ll see no lazers or pyro here, just some of the greatest music ever performed live. Shea Stadium suffered structural damage after this show. In fact, the concert was almost stopped because Shea Stadium was oscillating from the excited crowd. Click on the link below & sign the online petition to induct Mark Farner & GFRxR into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame now! http://www.petitiononline.com/GFRMDM/petition.html

Everybody, listen to me,
And return me, my ship.
Im your captain, Im your captain,
Although Im feeling mighty sick.
Ive been lost now, days uncounted,
And its months since Ive seen home.
Can you hear me, can you hear me,
Or am I all alone.
If you return me, to my home port,
I will kiss you mother earth.
Take me back now, take me back now,
To the port of my birth.
Am I in my cabin dreaming, or are you really scheming,
To take my ship away from me?
Youd better think about it, I just cant live without it.
So, please dont take my ship from me.
Yeah, yeah, yeah …
I can feel the hand, of a stranger,
And its tightening, around my throat.
Heaven help me, heaven help me,
Take this stranger from my boat.
Im your captain, Im your captain,
Although Im feeling mighty sick.
Everybody, listen to me,
And return me, my ship.
Im your captain, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Im your captain, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Im your captain, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Im your captain, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Im getting closer to my home …
Im getting closer to my home …
Im getting closer to my home …
Im getting closer to my home …
Ohhhh …
Im getting closer to my home …
Im getting closer to my home …
Im getting closer to my home …
Im getting closer to my home …

This was filmed at the Arie Crown Theater in Chicago, IL in November of 1972. Chicago performed an entire week of sold out performances at the ACT.
“Saturday in the Park” was written by Robert Lamm and can be heard on their 1972 ‘Chicago V’ album.
