By the time of this recording in 1967, David Ruffin was insisting on The Temptations calling themselves “David Ruffin & The Temptations” in much the same way as Diana Ross had taken the lead name over The Supremes. It never happened and within a year, David would be banished from the group. Celebrating 50 Years of Motown, these are The Temptations with their Top Ten hit from May of 1967, “All I Need”.
