OkayAfrica with The Roots and Talib Kweli with Sahr Ngaujah, Bajah + the Dry Eye Crew, Blitz the Ambassador and more
OkayPlayer, the hip-hop community co-founded by The Roots’ drummer Questlove, has been branching out with increasing interest in acts from Africa, like Sierra Leone’s politically charged, dance-floor hip-hop crew, Baja + Dry Eye Crew. This new take on “world music” will culminate this summer with the launch of OkayAfrica and today’s blow out at Prospect Park.
