Preceded by a brief chat with Donnie Simpson, this is Barbara performing the Michael Bolton-penned ballad “Where Can You Run,” which was the fourth and final single from her solo debut album. From a Valentine’s Day special on Video Soul. The song was produced by Wayne Lewis of Atlantic Starr. Barbara is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina, and sang lead on many of Atlantic Starr’s biggest hits, including “Secret Lovers,” “Always,” “If Your Heart Isn’t in It,” and “Silver Shadow.”

Cleaned up version of the 1932 “Our Gang” short starring Kendall McComas (Breezy), Bobby Hutchins (Wheezer) and Otto Fries (Blacksmith). Everyone wants this poor kid to grow up to be president, but all he wants to be is a streetcar conductor, ‘cuz boy, do they pick up the nickels!’ Soundbooth Pro worked out great in removing years of hiss, clicks, and other sounds, and Premier Pro helped remove many artifacts and restore brilliance to the print. Unfortuantely, the tears and specks will take some more time to repair, but in the meantime, here’s one of the better episodes that came out of the Hal Roach Studio during the series’ run…
